Project on
Improving Quality of Life and Raising
Income for Grassroots Communities in
Ranong Province
On February 24-26, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Panida Ninaroon, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services, along with Dr. Pannawat Chuvichian and Dr. Nathakorn Kumpetch, led the research and academic services team from the College of Innovation and Management, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, to conduct academic service activities in Hat Som Paen Community, Ranong Province, under the Rajabhat University Strategic Plan.
The project was honored to have Dr. Chantawan Angchon from Maejo University - Chumphon as a guest lecturer, providing knowledge on quality of life development and income enhancement for grassroots communities in Ranong.Objectives and Key Activities
This initiative aimed to drive economic growth for communities and entrepreneurs through knowledge exchange. Key areas of focus included:
Packaging design
and storytelling through local products,
preserving the essence of Hat Som
Paen.
Community engagement, where villagers shared the history of white clay mining, used in ceramic cup production, and the long-standing profession of mineral panning.
Identifying community needs, particularly in incorporating Hat Som Paen’s identity into product packaging.
Alignment with SDGs. The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Goal 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere, and Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
